Protecting your privacy is important to CCA Digital Services Pty Ltd ABN 24 629 749 882 (CCA Digital). When you join the Offer to Own Platform (the Platform), we will be collecting and using information about you. In this collection statement, we have set out how we will collect, use and disclose your information. Any references in this collection statement to “we”, “us” or “our” are references to CCA Digital, unless the context indicates otherwise.

We collect your personal information when you agree to be a participant of the Platform such as when you complete and submit an expression of interest form or when you log onto the Platform to access, view or negotiate a contract of sale. By providing us with your personal information, you consent to the terms and types of disclosure covered by this collection statement.

Purposes for which we collect your personal information

When you agree to be a participant of the Platform, CCA Digital will share your information with other participants of the Platform such as buyers and sellers, real estate agents, and conveyancers in order to enable those participants to liaise with you. We may also use the information we collect from you such as your name, address, email address and where applicable, your solicitor’s details for the following purposes:

  • verifying your identity;
  • data analysis;
  • to enable us to carry out the services of the Platform either directly or through the use of third party service providers;
  • to enable us to contact you with marketing and promotional materials regarding our products and services and those of our related entities; and
  • to consider any concerns or queries you may have regarding this service.

You are under no obligation to provide your personal information to us however if you don’t provide us with the information requested, we may not be able to provide you with a service.

Providing your information to others

Your information may be disclosed to our related bodies corporate and service providers in relation to the activities described in this collection statement. We have taken steps to ensure there are acceptable security arrangements in place to protect your information.

The Platform is located in Australia. Some participants may access the Platform from overseas, which will result in cross border disclosure of participant information. All participants must ensure that they, and any overseas parties accessing the Platform on their behalf, comply with Australian Privacy Act 1998.

Direct Marketing

We may contact you by text message or email and will use your personal information to tell you about other products, services, discounts, and offers and those of our related entities that may be of interest to you throughout your property journey. If you do not wish to receive any marketing material from us, you can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, by using the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email, or by managing your subscription on our website.

We also use internet-based marketing including targeted online advertising and online behavioural marketing. We may disclose your personal information to our related entities to allow them to tell you about a product or service that may be of interest to you, based on your transactions with us. Our marketing agencies may also contact you using your personal information that they already hold, or we may provide your personal information to them, in order to serve you with more relevant advertising about our services and products.

Digital Channels

When you visit our Platform we may collect certain information such as browser type, operating system, device identifiers (like IP address), location data (where available and not disabled by the user), the time of visit, pages visited, file metadata etc. This information is used in an aggregated manner to analyse how people use our site, such that we can improve our service.

Cookies

We may from time to time use cookies, pixels and other tracking technologies on our Platform. Cookies are very small files which a website uses to identify you when you come back to the site and to store details about your use of the Platform. Cookies are not malicious programs that access or damage your computer. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies but you can choose to reject cookies by changing your browser settings. However, this may prevent you from taking full advantage of the Platform.

Our cookies collect your IP address or MAC address, the city associated with your IP or MAC address, the date and time of your visit to our website, pages or advertisements viewed, the URL of the website that you viewed before visiting the Platform and the type of browser you use. We also use web tracking/analytic tools that generate detailed statistics about traffic to the Platform, traffic sources and how you interact with advertisements on the Platform and third party websites.  In addition, cookies may be used to serve relevant ads to website visitors through third party services such as Google Adwords. These ads may appear on the Platform or other websites you visit. These tools can also measure and record conversions and sales. The cookies and web-tracking tools allow the Platform to interact more efficiently with the device you are using and to help us improve the content and functioning of the Platform.

In some cases, third parties may use cookies, pixels and other technologies as part of our digital channels. These technologies may be used in connection with activities like surveys, online behavioural advertising, website analytics, and email campaign management. The services we may use from time to time include, but not limited to, those offered by Google (including Analytics, Display Network, AdSense, and DoubleClick), Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Audience Studio and Ad Studio) and other software providers and marketing or direct mail agencies. We encourage you to read the individual privacy policies of those services, including information on how to opt-out of certain functions. You may need to opt out separately from each service. You can contact us to request further details of the services we use. Many of these services operate without collecting or using any personal information.

Not all information we collect in relation to our digital channels is related to an individual. Quite often the information relates only to a device or is of an aggregated or statistical nature, and we will have no way of determining the identity of the user. In some cases, we may associate information about your use of our digital channels over time with your personal information, for example, when on any occasion you have logged in, followed a link sent to you by email, or we have otherwise been able to identify you.

You consent to receive electronic service messages from us and subject to any applicable law, agree that we do not need to include an "unsubscribe" facility in any electronic service messages sent to you for the purposes of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
